Interactive Interventional Cardiology Refresher Course

A day-long workshop to train young cardiologists in the country on the latest developments in heart diseases was held on 3 March 2020.
Interactive Professional Development Initiatives (IPDI) arranged the program under the title ?Interactive Interventional Cardiology Refresher Course? at Hotel Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, according to IPDI press release.
Health Services Secretary Md Asadul Islam inaugurated the event where almost 200 young cardiologists and 50 experienced faculty members joined the workshop.
Dr. Prof. Abdul Wadud Chowdhury, head of cardiology of Dhaka Medical College, said there is a shortage of trained doctors in the country and participants in this workshop will use the knowledge gained from here in the treatment of heart diseases.
Dr. Mohsin Ahmed, associate professor of National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases, said young cardiologists will benefit from this workshop and their professional expertise will be increased.
